We are Up Jumped Trouble, an old time stringband from southwest Virginia that specializes in old time, bluegrass, and country swing. From high energy flatfoot dancing music to laid back waltzes and sad country ballads, we provide a good time for any type of listener and occasion!

We are excited to present Up Jumped Trouble’s debut album, Bully of the Town. On December 22, 2025, we recorded the album live, without overdubbing at Studio 808A in Floyd, Virginia. We worked hard every day for years, learning new songs, and practicing harmony singing with each other.
